What is an End-of-Life Doula? An end-of-life doula is a non-medical companion who provides compassionate support to those at the end of their lives as well as to their families.


How do I know if an End-of-Life Doula is right for me? If any of the following applies to you, then an End-of-Life Doula may be right for you:

  • You desire emotional or spiritual support during the dying process

  • You want to plan for a ‘good death’, a peaceful transition

  • You want guidance through the dying process

  • You desire grief and emotional support

  • Any of the services listed on the ‘Services’ page catches your eye

 

Do you replace hospice care? No. End of Life Doulas do not replace hospice care.


What is the difference between an End-of-Life Doula and a Hospice care worker and volunteer?  Hospice provides medical and palliative services. An End-of-Life Doula offers non-medical, emotional and spiritual support to the dying person and their family. Do you replace a doctor or mental health care professional? No. I do not provide any medical, legal, psychological treatment. I am here as a compassionate companion, not to diagnose or prescribe anything. ​


Are there any benefits to having an End-of-Life Doula? Absolutely! Doulas can assist in creating memorials, capturing your finial wishes, reducing the stress and anxiety you and your loved ones hold, providing compassionate and trusted support.

 


What if I am not sure about booking an appointment, but would like more information? Please reach out with any questions or concerns you may have; we can gather a better understanding, together! ​

When should I reach out to an End-of-Life Doula?  At any stage in life. I work with individuals in good health preparing for a good death, those actively facing death as well as grieving families. ​

Do you have to practice a certain type of religion? No, everyone is welcome. ​I am not fluent in all religion, but I accept and respect all.

Do I have to be spiritual? No.

Do you help families after death?  I offer a couple of different services for families after the death of a loved one. These include grave tending, where I can go maintain your loved one’s headstone as well as spiritual coaching, when you are mentally and physically ready to discover who you are after the loss of a loved one, I can be there to support you. 

What does it cost? There are different factors that come into play. It all depends on the services requested, what packages are available that you may require. We can discuss this, NO pressure!

How can I pay? As of right now I accept CASH, VENMO, PAYPAL and use a credit card online.

Do you accept insurance? No. I work as an independent death doula and do not accept insurance.
